The Beginning

WASHAKIE TEXAS RANGER (L/W)

Tex was my first ever show dog and was bred by Karen Goff of Washakie. He had an amazing personality and stole my heart. He started his show career with flying colours, winning 5 Best Puppy Dogs in a row, culminating in a Best Puppy Dog at Crufts 1994 – Judge Mr J Neath.

He was always first and foremost a much loved family pet and with 4 children under the age of 8 to keep him occupied soon settled into a happy loving home. Due to family commitments he was only ever shown lightly but excelled himself each time. At the age of 14 months, along with his family, he moved out to Qatar in the Middle East and loved running on the beach every morning (before it got too hot) and chasing the birds… He loved to share a Baskin Robbins (strawberry) with Lydia everyday after school and more often than not ended up in Olly’s bedroom at night with the Air Conditioning full on!

On returning to the UKhe was only ever lightly shown and one day he was taken so suddenly at the age of 8 years and 3 months and it was a terrible shock to us all…. My only consolation is that he lives on in his girls: I will NEVER forget him xx

BUFFREY BELLENA – ELLIE B/W

Ellie was bred by Betty and Joe Neath (Buffrey) and was chosen specifically to become a future life long partner to Tex. Their combination has so far proved to be successful and they are the foundation to the very beginning of my breed line.

Ellie is litter sister to the CC record holder – Ch Buffrey Arrabelle at Daedalus

Loved and owned by Janice Peterson and Ch Buffrey Ysabelle -Their Dam is
Ch Washakie Bellvie of Buffrey ………. and their Sire is Ch Tommy Brock.

Never the great showgirl that her sisters were she made up for it with her HUGE

personality. Always up for anything and one step ahead she was highly intelligent and an accomplished thief. She could put Fagin to shame!!.

She has also produced Tumbril Trueblue Buffrey – 1 CC and 2 RCC’s loved and owned by Sally Anne and Martin Neath Duggan - sired by Eng/Am Ch Washakie Dancing Brave (wolfie|) . Now retired from the ring he is doing well in the veteran classes.

Ellie was amazing and has passed on a little of her fun loving, amazing personality to her pups, thank god… not all in one puppy!!… we will never forget her and we still laugh about her antics today and always will. Anyone seen my Toblerone ????
